Please say a prayer today for the Japanese nuclear workers who have stayed behind, rather than evacuate from Japan's damaged nuclear power plants, to try to keep a meltdown from happening--and to save us all from a nuclear disaster. God bless those heroes.

And another thing...
Well, here we go again. The White House is posting on Facebook again:
Lakes and Rivers: A Middle Class Task Force Visit to the Chrysler Toledo Assembly Complex
The White House: "Vice President Biden travels to Toledo, Ohio, today to hold a Middle Class Task Force event at the Chrysler Toledo Assembly Complex - a state-of-the-art complex that houses the main assembly plant producing the Jeep Wrangler.
"Tier I Suppliers for the Jeep Wrangler employ 3,000 American workers. In the year before we took office, the auto industry shed 431,300 jobs. But in the 13 months since GM and Chrysler emerged from bankruptcy, auto industry employment has increased by 76,300, a huge reversal."
My Comment is a simple one:
"Why is Vice President Biden segregating the classes? Isn't that being bigoted?"

Well, I got a little hot under the collar when reading about this true hero, Chief Thomas, a U. S. Navy SEAL, who died recently in combat on behalf of our nation. Here's the facebook post from the Military Wall of Honor:

Wednesday night, 18 August 2010 in Hertford, North Carolina, a mom and dad received the notification every parent fears when their child has made a commitment to the military during a time of war. Although Marine Lt. Col. Clayton and Paula Jean Trent Thomas were given little information other than their son had departed this life during a combat mission, they had known their son Collin was in harm's way, having been deployed to Afghanistan just about a month previous. His parents never knew exactly where Collin was deployed, however, they knew that since February 2000, Collin had been assigned to various East Coast-based SEAL teams, involved in numerous combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan and deployed at least eight times....

When I read this, after just having read something in Sports about Sports "heros," I became incensed. This is what I wrote in the facebook Comment box:
"These are the heros we should talk about, tell our children about, pray for. No basketball, baseball or football star anywhere EVER did anything as important as Chief Thomas did when he signed his enlistment in the Navy. No basketball point...s, baseball score, football game, would ever even be PLAYED if it weren't for men and women like Chief Thomas. By God, stop the political correctness and let's get back to the good old United States. I'm sick of Sportscasters, AND I MEAN YOU ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc., equating athletes with TRUE heros. You want to play the race card with me? Say I'm racist because I support a white SEAL and not a black ball player? Bite me. I support ALL our armed forces, no matter what color -- but don't you DARE equate simple jocks with the REAL MEN in this country. RIP, Chief, knowing while there's a breath in my body I will pray for your soul and your family, and keep the word "hero" pristine."
No apologies. Let the chips fall where they may.
